Fall Favorites

Technically it's still Fall for a while but it's already snowed twice, including a storm that brought 7 inches, so it's starting to feel more like Winter.  I always love the first of winter (not the last 3 months), but this Fall was really great and I'm sad to say goodbye.  Here are a few of our fall activities.

Beckett played T-ball this Fall.  Dad was the lucky coach.  It was pretty interesting.

This is how each game typically went.  Someone hit the ball into the outfield.  Then all the kids would run to the ball and doggy pile on top.  Eventually someone would come out of the pile victorious and hold the ball up for all to see.  After some coaxing, the coach would convince them to throw it to first base.

I feel like the fall colors were exceptional this year and they lasted for a long time.  They made me happy everyday.  We drove up to the cabin and went for a little hike with some friends and family.  I think I mentioned how pretty it was about a hundred times.  It really was pretty.

Our kids are old enough to start enjoying some of the many many kid activities Halloween has to offer.  Among those activities was Cornbelly's, Boo at the Zoo, and trick or treating at the SLC Police station.  Lots of candy for mom and dad.

Halloween night was lots of fun. We started in my parents neighborhood then came back to ours.  Our neighbors hosted dinner for everyone then we all went trick-or-treating together.  Beckett loved hanging out with this neighborhood buddies.  Even some of the adults without kids joined us on our crusade.  Our next door neighbors had a really great spook alley in their back yard.  All in all, it was the perfect Halloween.

The leaves have almost finished falling and I am sad about that, but grateful for this time of year.  I absolutely love my neighborhood in the fall.  There are hundreds of giant trees that fill the streets and lawns with vibrant colors.  I felt like every drive to the grocery store or preschool was scenic.
