Ultra Marathon Man

Most people call it crazy.  I call it amazing.

See this mountain range?  Can you imagine running the full distance of this image, plus the beginning and the end that the camera couldn't capture, and then turning around and doing it again?  All said and done it would be about 52 miles.  52 miles of up, down, rocks, dirt and uneven terrain.  Not easy, but possible.  At least for the extreme.  You have probably guessed who this extreme runner is.

We did our best to support this crazy man.

This is the turn around point in Hobble Creek Canyon.  Halfway done.  Jeremy stopped for a little  R and R to refuel and bandage the blisters.  Great spot for a little picnic.

If you look closely in the upper right corner of this image you can see a deer stocking Jeremy in Rock Canyon. Mr. Deer was either annoyed at being kicked off his trail, or caught up in the excitement of the event. I think I might of heard him yell "Go Crazy Human", in his own quite deer like way.

 Coming into Hope Campground

Apparently Coke is great fuel for ultra marathons.

"Come on hunny.  You're almost done!"

 Finish line!!!!!!!

You did it mountain man.  Congratulations!!

Congratulations, Jeremy! Or as Mr. Deer would say, "Go Crazy Human!" I like the beard, by the way. I tried to grow one out a month ago, and it wasn't pretty... So I guess you'll always have a leg up on me in both the running and manly hair departments.

A-freaking-mazing! Tell your husband he is officially my hero. You are too because we both know he could have done it without you. Seriously though. I am in awe!
