When I was little it was My Little Ponies, He-Man, Transformers, and Barbies. That's what I remember at least. My child has found his first toy obsession. I really don't know where it came from but for some reason all superheroes have caught his attention. When we went to Disney World last year I tried really hard to make him like Mickey and the gang. I let him watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and rented old Mickey cartoons from the library. He tolerated it. So why Spiderman, Batman, the Hulk, Captain America, Ironman and Superman? ( It's probably the same reason little girls like princesses, but I'm not qualified to speak on the princess subject so we'll stick with the boy stuff) Maybe superheroes embody what little boys aspire to be, brave, strong and able to conquer all evil. It can't be the fighting can it? Beckett says he likes them because "they're awesome". Whatever the reason this craze seems to be sticking around so I thought I would document this stage in my youngsters life.
Papa gave the little Batman a bat cave which he adores.

Our friends made some Batman graphics for the playroom. Beckett got to pick this one out himself. He was happy to have a Batman in his two favorite colors.
Every day on the playground at preschool Beckett plays superheroes with his friends. They fight danger and bad guys. Beckett is alway telling me how all the superheroes are friends. This proves it I guess.
I love this picture of Superman zooming past in the background. He IS faster than a speeding bullet.
For some reason spiderman was hanging out at This is the Place Heritage Park a few weeks ago. Beckett wasn't there so we took a picture for him. Graham apparently doesn't like the life size version of Spiderman.
My mom brought some superhero/mexican wrestling outfits back from her trip across the border. Don't worry, I told the boys that "it is in the Bible not to wrestle your neighbor", just bad guys.
I'm sure glad we have someone to protect us from danger and bad guys.
So what does Graham do while brother is protecting the planet? Cars, cars and more cars. I had no idea so many things could be done with a couple dozen Hot Wheels cars. Literally hours of entertainment.

Love those little superheros!
Dude, I think boys are born with that stuff ingrained in their heads. The other day we were having dinner at a friends and she gave Evan a Spiderman plate. Evan looked right at it and said "Spy man' (trying to say Spiderman). He has never seen the show. We have no Spiderman stuff - neither do any of his grandparents. I have NO idea how he knew who he was! lol. I came home and pulled up pictures of him to show Evan to make sure it wasn't a fluke and it wasn't! Craziness.
